What is this workshop about?

The increasingly fast pace of life in developed countries is becoming more and more incompatible with rest. Resting is synonymous with wasting time. For this reason, the idea of lying down for 8 hours a day, with our eyes closed and without making any movements seems practically criminal and an attack on productivity in a society that demands more and more from us. Sleep is often seen as a waste of time, and it is sometimes difficult to find logical reasons why this daily ritual has survived throughout the evolution of species.

In this workshop, we will explore what sleep is and why it is so essential for our survival. We'll explore the importance of sleep for our emotional regulation, cognitive functioning, cardiovascular health, immune system, cancer and, imagine? Even productivity itself! Our aim is that by the end of the workshop, the idea of sleeping 5 hours a day to increase productivity will seem as ridiculous to you as it does to us!
